Eine Vorrichtung dient zum wiederholten Erzeugen von Explosionen, insbesondere zum Antrieb eines Luftfahrzeuges. Sie weist auf: ∙ eine Brennkammer (21), ∙ mindestens eine Zufuhrleitung zum Zuführen eines fliessfähigen explosionsfälligen Materials oder von Komponenten, die bei Vermischung ein explosionsfähiges Material bilden, zur Brennkammer (21); ∙ eine Ablassvorrichtung zum gerichteten Ablassen eines durch Zündung des explosionsfähigen Materials im in der Brennkammer (21) erzeugten Gasdrucks, ∙ ein bewegliches Düsenregelelement (26) zum teilweisen oder gänzlichen Verschliessen der Ablassvorrichtung, ∙ ein Stellelement (25), welches dazu ausgebildet ist, nach einem Öffnen der Ablassvorrichtung und während eines Ausströmens von Explosionsgasen durch die Ablassvorrichtung die Ablassvorrichtung weiter zu öffnen, Dabei weist die Ablassvorrichtung mehrere Teildüsen (40) zum Ablassen des Gasdrucks auf, und ist eine Stellung der Teildüsen (40) -durch das Stellelement (25) einstellbar.
