Zusammenfassung:	A valve assembly is provided for a reciprocating pump. The valve assembly includes a valve seat comprising a shoulder. The valve assembly also includes a valve body configured to move relative to the valve seat between an open position and a closed position. The valve body is separated from the shoulder of the valve seat in the open position. The valve body is sealingly engaged with the shoulder of the valve seat in the closed position. The valve assembly also includes a damper operatively connected between the valve body and the valve seat. L'invention concerne un ensemble soupape destiné à une pompe alternative. L'ensemble soupape comprend un siège de soupape comprenant un épaulement. L'ensemble soupape comprend également un corps de soupape conçu pour se déplacer par rapport au siège de soupape entre une position ouverte et une position fermée. Le corps de soupape est séparé de l'épaulement du siège de soupape dans la position ouverte. Le corps de soupape est en prise étanche avec l'épaulement du siège de soupape dans la position fermée. L'ensemble soupape comprend également un amortisseur fonctionnellement relié entre le corps de soupape et le siège de soupape.
