The method comprises the following steps: generating a corresponding touch signal in response to a touch operation of a finger on a touch sensing unit (S10); determining a touch gesture of a user according to the touch signal (S20); determining whether the touch gesture satisfies a preset condition or not (S30); and triggering the electronic device to give an alarm if the touch gesture does not satisfy the preset condition (S40). The technical solution can help a user to discover that the electronic device is stolen in time and take measures, thereby reducing the possibility of theft of the electronic device and effectively avoiding the loss of the user.
