Methods of manufacturing the outsole component, as well as articles of footwear including outsole component and methods of manufacturing such articles of footwear are also described. La présente invention concerne un composant de semelle d'usure destiné à être utilisé dans un article chaussant qui est fabriqué selon un procédé de moulage qui incorpore un second matériau polymère avec un composant de film comprenant une première couche formée d'un matériau d'hydrogel polymère. La première couche forme la couche externe ou tournée vers le sol de la semelle d'usure. L'invention concerne également des procédés de fabrication du composant de semelle d'usure, ainsi que des articles chaussants comprenant un composant de semelle d'usure et des procédés de fabrication de tels articles chaussants.
