SWITCH AND STRADDLE-TYPE RAIL SYSTEM

A switch and a straddle-type rail system, the switch (100) comprising: a front beam (15); a first rear beam (13); a second rear beam (14); a first bottom plate (21); a first carriage (31), the first carriage (31) being mounted on the first bottom plate (21) in a manner so as to be able to turn about a turning axis (43); a first switch beam (11) and a second switch beam (12), the first switch beam (11) and the second switch beam (12) both being fixedly connected to the first carriage (31); a drive unit (41), the drive unit (41) being used to drive the first switch beam (11) and the second switch beam (12) to turn about the turning axis (43), so as to cause the first switch beam (11) to be selectively connected between the front beam (15) and the first rear beam (13), or the second switch beam (12) to be selectively connected between the front beam (15) and the second rear beam (14).
