Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a system for hydroconversion of heavy oils, by means of a bubble column reactor, with the use of a slurry catalyst containing one or more transition metals, in a single reaction stage, with extraction of high-boiling conversion products via distillation with a final vacuum stage and recycling of vacuum residue, wherein at least a part of the reaction liquid used in the distillation for obtaining the conversion products is withdrawn, without gas, directly from the bubbling zone present in the cylindrical part of the reactor, so that the extraction capacity of the conversion products can be constantly aligned with the rate at which these products are generated from the reactor, whatever the height thereof. Overcoming the accumulation of high-boiling products in the reaction allows to greatly increase the capacity of the reactor. According to a variant of the system of the invention relating to the reaction liquid treatments "outside the reactor", aimed at recycling the vacuum residue in the reaction, the hydroconversion catalyst is maintained constantly in the reduced valence state by the introduction of a reducing agent, while the temperature of the reaction liquid is maintained below the thermal cracking threshold of the heavy oil, so that the coke formation and deactivation of the catalyst are inhibited, thereby allowing an efficient reuse of the catalyst through the simple recycling in the reaction of the vacuum residue containing it. The invention also relates to a hydroconversion method which can be implemented by the above system.
