| Zusammenfassung: | A window air conditioner comprises a housing (10) and the following devices sequentially accommodated in the housing (10): an indoor heat exchanger (11), an indoor air-driving device, a horizontal compressor (16), an outdoor air-driving device, an outdoor heat exchanger (22), and an electric control box (17) positioned above the horizontal compressor (16). An axis of the horizontal compressor (16) is parallel to a length direction of the indoor heat exchanger (11) and a length direction of the outdoor heat exchanger (22). The compressor is placed horizontally, such that an overall height of the window air conditioner is effectively reduced, thereby enabling the window air conditioner to have a compact structure and a small size, and facilitating storage and transportation.
