The resultant value determines the form of modification based on a predetermined selection of possible modifications. L'invention concerne un procédé d'introduction d'un contrôle de vérification pour un produit. Le procédé comporte les étapes consistant à générer un code alphanumérique associé au produit, à utiliser un ou plusieurs chiffres du code pour calculer une valeur résultante et à modifier au moins un chiffre du code d'après la valeur résultante. La valeur résultante détermine la forme de modification selon une sélection prédéterminée de modifications possibles.
