Provided is a three-dimensional shape representing device which is small-sized and light-weight, and has excellent real-time characteristics. This three-dimensional shape representing device is provided with: a plurality of rods, the tip parts of which represent a three-dimensional shape and each of which can be displaced in a longitudinal direction; a support member comprising immobile support members provided at fixed positions and one or multiple movable support members each of which can individually reciprocate in the longitudinal direction of the rods; and a movable support drive part which moves the movable support members. The support members are respectively provided, at positions corresponding to the respective rods, with fixing mechanisms which can fix the respective rods to the support members. When the movable support members are moving, each of the rods is fixed to the corresponding movable support member by means of the corresponding fixing mechanism which corresponds to the corresponding rod provided on one of the movable support members, and is displaced according to the movement of the corresponding movable support member, or each of the rods is fixed to the immobile support member and stopped by means of the fixing mechanism which corresponds to the corresponding rod provided on the corresponding immobile support member.
