Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are methods and systems for inspecting photolithographic reticles. A first and second reticle that were fabricated with a same design are obtained. A first and second reticle image of the first and second reticles are also obtained. The first reticle image is compared to the second reticle image to output a difference image having a plurality of difference events corresponding to candidate defects on either the first or second reticle. An inspection report of the candidate defects is then generated. L'invention concerne des procédés et des systèmes d'inspection de réticules photolithographiques. Un premier et un second réticule qui ont été fabriqués avec une même conception sont obtenus. Une image de premier réticule et une image de second réticule, associées aux premier et second réticules, sont également obtenues. L'image de premier réticule est comparée à l'image de second réticule pour délivrer une image de différence ayant une pluralité d'événements de différence correspondant à des défauts candidats sur le premier ou le second réticule. Un rapport d'inspection des défauts candidats est ensuite généré.
