METHOD FOR PRODUCING EXTRACTS ENRICHED WITH SULFOXIDE-FREE ORGANOSULFUR COMPOUNDS, S-ALKENYL-L-CYSTEINE AND S-ALKYL-L-CYSTEINE, FROM PLANT RAW MATERIALS, AND USES THEREOF IN THE TREATMENT OF INFLAMMATORY DISEASES

The present invention relates to a high-yield method for the production of extracts enriched with organosulfur compounds of the S-alkenyl-L-cysteine and S-alkyl-L-cysteine type. Said compounds are obtained from plants of the genus Allium and are free of sulfoxides. In addition, the invention relates to the use of the organosulfur compounds of the S-alkenyl-L-cysteine and S-alkyl-L-cysteine type as therapeutic or nutraceutical agents in the prevention and treatment of human and animal diseases associated with chronic inflammation. La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento de alto rendimiento para la obtención de extractos enriquecidos en compuestos organosulfurados de tipo S-alquenil-L-cisteína y S-alquil-L-cisteína. Dichos compuestos se obtienen a partir de plantas del género Allium, y además están libres de sulfóxidos. Además, se describe el uso de los compuestos organosulfurados de tipo S-alquenil-L-cisteína y S-alquil-L-cisteína como agentes terapéuticos o nutracéuticos en la prevención y el tratamiento de enfermedades humanas y animales que cursan con inflamación crónica. La présente invention concerne un procédé à haut rendement pour l'obtention d'extraits enrichis en composés organosulfurés de type S-alcényl-L-cystéine et S-alkyl-L-cystéine. Lesdits composés sont obtenus à partir de plantes du genre Allium, et sont en outre exempts de sulfoxydes. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation des composés organosulfurés de type S-alcényl-L-cystéine et S-alkyl-L-cystéine en tant qu'agents thérapeutiques ou nutraceutiques dans la prévention et le traitement de maladies humaines et animales qui sont associées à l'inflammation chronique.
