Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to medicine, and more particularly to surgery, traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used in the surgical treatment of inflammatory and dystrophic and degenerative bone diseases, as well as bone injuries. The problem addressed by the invention is that of creating an implant which can be used more effectively in the repair of bone defects as a result of improved compatibility between the length of the implant and the length of the bone defect to be repaired, and which is easier to produce. This problem is solved in that an implant for repairing bone defects, which is made of a carbon-carbon material containing a carbon matrix and a reinforcing shell of carbon fibres, is configured in the form of two or more elements having an internal thread or a through hole with a diameter not less than the diameter of said thread, said elements being fastened by one or more pins with a thread of the same diameter as that of the elements, wherein the outermost elements have an internal thread and the elements arranged therebetween have an internal thread or a through hole. The proposed implants combine biocompatibility, strength, and fixation properties by virtue of the characteristics of the carbon material from which they are made, and allow improved compatibility with the shapes of a large group of bone defects to be repaired since the implants can be assembled from individual elements. This enables more effective use of the implants for repairing bone defects and intervertebral discs, and renders the implants easier to produce.
