Zusammenfassung:	Provided are a system and methods for reducing the amount of payment information stored by a merchant. In one example, a method includes receiving payment card information of a cardholder from a payment information receiving module displayed in a web browser of a computing device, generating a token for the payment card information received from the payment information receiving module, and transmitting the generated token to a merchant server for a transaction between the merchant and the cardholder. According to various aspects, the payment information receiving module is displayed in the web browser of the computing device in response to a merchant website being displayed therein, and the payment card information is received by the payment processing server, from the payment information receiving module, without being stored by the computing device and without passing through the merchant server. L'invention concerne un système et des procédés permettant de réduire la quantité d'informations de paiement stockées par un commerçant. Dans un exemple, un procédé comprend les étapes consistant à : recevoir des informations d'une carte de paiement d'un titulaire de carte provenant d'un module de réception d'informations de paiement affiché dans un navigateur Web d'un dispositif informatique ; générer un jeton associé aux informations de la carte de paiement provenant du module de réception d'informations de paiement ; et transmettre le jeton généré à un serveur de commerçant en vue d'une transaction entre le commerçant et le titulaire de la carte. Selon divers aspects, le module de réception d'informations de paiement est affiché dans le navigateur Web du dispositif informatique en réponse à l'affichage d'un site Web de commerçant dans ledit navigateur. De plus, le serveur de traitement de paiement reçoit les informations de la carte de paiement provenant du module de réception d'informations de paiement sans que le dispositif informatique les stockent et sans transiter par le serveur de commerçant.
