The film hole includes a blind opening adjacent the interior of the airfoil and a hole adjacent the exterior of the airfoil. The blind opening fluidly couples to the hole to form the film hole for providing a volume of fluid as a surface cooling film along the exterior of the outer wall. L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé pour former un trou de film dans une paroi externe d'un profil aérodynamique. Le trou de film comprend une ouverture borgne adjacente à l'intérieur du profil aérodynamique et un trou adjacent à l'extérieur du profil aérodynamique. L'ouverture borgne est en communication fluidique avec le trou pour former le trou de film afin de fournir un volume de fluide en tant que film de refroidissement de surface le long de l'extérieur de la paroi externe.
