Provided is a printer in which the time required to stir sedimented ink accommodated in an ink pack can be reduced. A printer 10 is provided with a rotation mechanism 39 for rotating a first ink cartridge 31, which accommodates a first ink pack 33 filled with sedimented ink. A control device 60 is provided with: a storage unit 62 that stores first data specifying the relationship between a predetermined ink stirring degree and the rotation angle of the ink cartridge 31 from an initial position; an angle determination unit 66 that determines the rotation angle on the basis of the predetermined stirring angle and the first data; and a first control unit 71 that controls the rotation mechanism 39 so as to cause the first ink cartridge 31 to rotate only by the determined rotation angle to a rotation position, and then causes the first ink cartridge 31 to rotate in the opposite direction so as to return to the initial position.
