APPLICATION UPDATING METHOD AND DEVICE

Disclosed are an application updating method and device. The method comprises: an application server generates a patch file according to different class files between an update version file and a current version file of an application client; the application server sends the generated patch file to the application client; the application client detects, when the application client is enabled, whether the patch file is present; and the application client loads, when detecting that the patch file is present, the patch file in an operation process of the application client so as to update the application client. The present invention resolves the technical problem in the related art of reduced application updating efficiency resulting from required interruption of a current operation of a user to enter an installation interface during application updating.
