Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for purifying or deodorizing gas by bringing the gas into contact with a reactive matrix comprising: 15 to 80% by dry weight SiO2; and 20 to 40% by dry weight CaO, the moisture content of the matrix ranging from 16 to 80%. The invention also relates to the use of a reactive matrix of this type for purifying or deodorizing a gas. Procédé d'épuration ou de désodorisation de gaz par mise en contact dudit gaz avec une matrice réactive comprenant: - de 15% à 80% en poids de matière sèche de Si02; et - de 20% à 40% en poids de matière sèche de CaO; le taux d'humidité de ladite matrice variant de 16% à 80%, et utilisation d'une telle matrice réactive pour épurer ou désodoriser un gaz.
