| Zusammenfassung: | Provided are a method and apparatus for sending a 1588 message. The method comprises: before active/standby states of a first clock board and a second clock board are switched, discarding a 1588 message generated by the second clock board, wherein the second clock board is a standby clock board before switching; and after the active/standby states of the first clock board and the second clock board are switched, sending the 1588 message generated by the second clock board. By means of the present disclosure, the problem in the related art that the active/standby switching time is too long is solved, and network oscillation caused by active/standby switching is alleviated.
