These compounds are myeloperoxidase (MPO) inhibitors and/or eosinophil peroxidase (EPX) inhibitors, and may be useful for for the treatment and/or prophylaxis of atherosclerosis, heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and related diseases. La présente invention concerne des composés de formule (I), dans laquelle tous les substituants sont tels que définis dans la description, et des compositions comprenant l'un quelconque de ces nouveaux composés. Ces composés sont des inhibiteurs de la myéloperoxydase (MPO) et/ou des inhibiteurs de l'éosinophile-peroxydase (EPX) et peuvent être utiles pour le traitement et/ou la prophylaxie de l'athérosclérose, de l'insuffisance cardiaque, de la broncho-pneumopathie chronique obstructive (BPCO) et de maladies associées.
