COMPOSITE COOKWARE HANDLE

A cookware handle includes a plastic grip portion molded over a portion of an insert. The insert inserts into a bore of a flange. The grip portion is externally flush with the flange interface and the insert internally connects the grip portion to the flange. This allows the grip portion to be over molded on a first part of the insert so the other portion can be welded or otherwise attached to the flange after external surface finishing of the flange. The insert and flange may be welded together along a portion of the insert that contacts the flange within the bore and that is not visible when the flange is attached to a cookware vessel sidewall to provide the grip molded as a handle for the cookware vessel. L'invention concerne une poignée d'ustensile de cuisine qui comprend une partie de préhension en plastique moulée sur une partie d'un insert. L'insert s'insère dans un alésage d'une bride. La partie de préhension est extérieurement alignée avec l'interface de bride, et l'insert relie intérieurement la partie de préhension à la bride. Ceci permet à la partie de préhension d'être surmoulée sur une première partie de l'insert, de telle sorte que l'autre partie peut être soudée ou fixée à la bride après finition de surface externe de la bride. L'insert et la bride peuvent être soudés ensemble le long d'une partie de l'insert qui entre en contact avec la bride dans l'alésage et qui n'est pas visible lorsque la bride est fixée à une paroi latérale de récipient de cuisine pour fournir la préhension moulée sous forme de poignée pour le récipient de cuisine.
