The invention further relates to plants, plant propagation material, harvested leaf and processed leaf obtainable by such methods. La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de modifier le bourgeonnement latéral dans une plante, ledit procédé consistant à modifier l'expression ou la fonction d'une protéine contenant la séquence SEQ ID NO: 3, 4, 5 ou une séquence présentant une homologie d'au moins 70 % avec celles-ci. L'invention concerne en outre des plantes, un matériel de propagation des plantes, une feuille récoltée et une feuille traitée pouvant être obtenus par ces procédés.
