APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING COLLISION AVOIDANCE OF VEHICLE

The present invention proposes an apparatus and a method for controlling collision avoidance of a vehicle, which controls emergency braking in consideration of both an object located in the front and an object located in the rear direction. The apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a vehicle existence determination unit for determining whether a rear vehicle is present behind a target vehicle; a collision possibility determination unit for, if it is determined that the rear vehicle is present, determining whether there is a possibility of a collision between the target vehicle and the rear vehicle on the basis of information on the rear vehicle; and a collision avoidance processing unit for performing a collision avoidance function for preventing a collision between the target vehicle and the rear vehicle if it is determined that there is a possibility of a collision.
