[Problem] To provide a low-cost carbon dioxide recovery device 10. [Solution] Provided is a carbon dioxide recovery device provided with: a horizontally placed tank 11 having a gas introduction opening 13 disposed on an upper part of a side surface, a water supply opening 14 disposed on a lower part of a side surface, and a discharge opening 15 disposed on the back surface; a horizontally oriented rotating shaft 19 provided in the center part of the tank 11; a water submersible motor 12 for driving the rotating shaft 19; a plurality of wire brush pieces 20c attached to the rotating shaft 19 and extending radially from the rotating shaft; and a vane wheel 21 attached to the rotating shaft 19. Gas containing carbon dioxide is introduced into the tank 11 from the gas introduction opening 13, and also water 34 is supplied from the water supply opening 14; the rotating shaft 19 is driven by the water submersible motor 12; while making the water flow along the rotating shaft 19 by means of the rotating vane wheel 21, the gas containing carbon dioxide is dissolved in the water 34 by stirring and mixing the gas containing the carbon dioxide and the water 34 within the tank 11 by the rotating wire brush pieces 20c; and the water 34 in which the gas containing carbon dioxide has dissolved is discharged from the discharge opening.
