In one example, nanofiber based micro-structured material is used as an electrode in a battery, such as a lithium ion battery, where the nanofibers of micro-structured material form a nanofiber cloth with free-standing, core-shell structure. L'invention concerne un matériau microstructuré à base de nanofibres comprenant des fibres métalliques avec des revêtements d'oxyde métallique et des procédés. Dans un exemple, un matériau microstructuré à base de nanofibres est utilisé en tant qu'électrode dans une batterie, de type batterie lithium-ion ; les nanofibres du matériau microstructuré formant un tissu de nanofibres, à structure coeur-enveloppe autoportante.
