Zusammenfassung: | Disclosed is a photoelectric conversion element having a first substrate, and a conductive layer disposed on one surface of the first substrate, said conductive layer having a first conductive layer that has at least one first conductive part, and a second conductive layer that is disposed to the outside of the first conductive layer and has at least one second conductive part. The photoelectric conversion element has at least one photoelectric conversion cell, the photoelectric conversion cell having the first conductive part, a second substrate that faces the first conductive part, and an annular sealing part for joining the first substrate and the second substrate. A first groove is formed between the first conducting layer and the second conducting layer; the photoelectric conversion element has an insulating layer; the insulating layer is disposed so as to overlap the sealing part between the first substrate and the sealing part of the at least one photoelectric conversion cell; and, when the photoelectric conversion element is viewed from the direction orthogonal to the one surface of the first substrate, the outer peripheral edge of the insulating layer is disposed so as be situated outside of the sealing part and enclose the entire sealing part in the at least one photoelectric conversion cell. The insulating layer: masks sections of the first conducting layer, such sections protruding to the outside of the sealing part at a location further inside than the outer peripheral edge of the insulating layer and outside the sealing part; and intrudes into the first groove and covers a portion of the second conducting layer, leaving the remainder of the second conducting layer exposed.
