The data migration method comprises: a high-speed buffering memory Cache module acquires, from a tiered storage module, an address space of to-be-migrated hotspot data; the Cache module writes the to-be-migrated hotspot data according to the address space; and the Cache module notifies the tiered storage module of the address space of the to-be-migrated hotspot data in the Cache module. The method improves performance of a storage system.
