According to the invention, the fabric (21) carries at least one first series of teeth (25) suitable for engaging with a second series of matching teeth of a timing belt (26), driven by actuation means for controlling the movement of the screening fabric. L'invention se rapporte à un dispositif d'occultation pour véhicule automobile, comprenant au moins une toile d'occultation (21) mobile entre une position escamotée et une position déployée. Selon l'invention, la toile (21) porte au moins une première série de dents (25) aptes à venir en prise avec une seconde série de dents complémentaires d'une courroie crantée (26), entraînée par des moyens d'actionnement pour contrôler le déplacement de la toile d'occultation.
