VIDEO DISPLAY SYSTEM

Provided is a video display system which eliminates the need for a user to adjust the image quality each time depending on the type of program. This video display system is provided with a display device 10 which displays a video, and a server 20 which is installed external to the display device 10. A System on Chip (SoC) 13 of the display device 10 transmits to the server 20 desired image quality information corresponding to each type of video, input by a user. The server 20 stores, for each user, the received image quality information corresponding to each type of video. The SoC 13 acquires information relating to the type of a video to be displayed, and transmits to the server 20 the information relating to the type of the video to be displayed. The SoC 13 further acquires from the server 20 the image quality information corresponding to the type of the video to be displayed, and adjusts the image quality of the video to be displayed on the basis of the acquired image quality information.
