METHOD, DEVICE, AND SYSTEM FOR PASSIVE OPTICAL NETWORK COMMUNICATION

A method, device and system for passive optical network communication are provided by the embodiments of the present invention. Said method comprises determining a wavelength channel group of an optical network unit (ONU) and wavelength channels belonging to the wavelength channel group; sending a first message to the ONU, the first message carrying identification information of the wavelength channel group and that of the wavelength channels belonging to the wavelength channel group. In the embodiments of the present invention, by means of establishing a logical channel group such as a wavelength channel group, when one channel in the channel group fails, the scheduling module of an OLT may quickly and easily reassign the service to the another member in the channel group so as to avoid interaction problems among channels and improve bandwidth scheduling and utilization efficiency of the PON system.
