PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING 1-CYCLOPROPYL-NAPHTHALENES

A process for preparing 1-cyclopropyl-naphthalene derivatives of Formula (1) wherein R1-R7 are independently hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy, cycloalkyl or aryl comprising the steps of a) contacting an acid salt of a 1-naphthyl-2-aminoethylketone with a base and a first solvent to obtain a solution wherein the molar ratio of base to l-naphthyl-2-aminoethylketone acid salt is at least 0.7, b) addition of hydrazine to obtain a 3-(1-naphthyl)-1H-pyrazoline, c) optionally adding a second solvent and/or at least partially removing the first solvent, and d) heating the reaction mixture to a temperature above 190°C to obtain the compound of Formula (1). L'invention concerne un procédé de préparation de dérivés de 1-cyclopropyl-naphtalènes de Formule (1), R1-R7 étant indépendamment hydrogène, alkyle, alcoxy, cycloalkyle ou aryle comprenant les étapes suivantes : a) la mise en contact d'un sel d'acide d'un 1-naphtyl-2-aminoéthylcétone avec une base et un premier solvant pour obtenir une solution pour laquelle le rapport molaire entre la base et le sel d'acide de 1-naphtyl-2-aminoéthylcétone est d'au moins 0,7, b) l'ajout d'hydrazine pour obtenir de la 3-(1-naphtyl)-1H-pyrazoline, c) facultativement, l'ajout d'un second solvant et/ou le retrait au moins partiel du premier solvant, et d) le chauffage du mélange réactionnel à une température supérieure à 190 °C pour obtenir le composé de Formule (1).
