The edible coating is preferably used for coating confectionary such as chocolate lentils. The present invention is also directed to precursors of such edible coatings such as sugar syrup and sugar-free alternatives, both comprising such a mixture of bixin and beta-carotene. La présente invention concerne un enrobage comestible orange comprenant un mélange de bixine et de bêta-carotène. Ledit enrobage comestible est utilisé de préférence pour enrober des confiseries comme des lentilles en chocolat. La présente invention se rapporte également à des précurseurs de ces enrobages comestibles, comme le sirop de sucre et les produits de remplacement sans sucre, comprenant dans les deux cas un mélange de bixine et de bêta-carotène.
