METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HANDLING EXCEPTION MESSAGE

Disclosed is a method for handling an exception message. The method comprises: by receiving an exception message sent by a media gateway (MGW), acquiring an identifier of the exception message and an error packet handling policy identifier, the identifier at least comprising a frame quality classification (FQC) indication value of the exception message; and if the error packet handling policy value is a pre-set first identifier and the FQC indication value of the exception message is a pre-set second identifier, handling the exception message according to a pre-stored exception message handling policy. Also disclosed is an apparatus for handling an exception message. Thus, the problem of imperfect handling of an exception message in an existing protocol is solved, and by means of a supplement to the handling of the exception message the probability of influence on the call quality caused by the exception message is reduced, thereby improving the call quality between third-generation (3G) mobile communication
