Zusammenfassung:	A mechanical interface for an undulator module comprises: a body, a laser beam sensor and an alignment feature. The laser beam sensor is attached to the body and is operable to determine the position of a reference laser beam relative to part of the mechanical interface. The alignment feature on the body is arranged to allow the mechanical interface to engage with an undulator module such that the laser beam sensor is maintained in fixed relationship with a magnetic centre of the undulator module. L'invention concerne une interface mécanique pour un module onduleur, ladite interface comprenant : un corps, un capteur de faisceau laser et un élément d'alignement. Le capteur de faisceau laser est fixé sur le corps et permet de déterminer la position d'un faisceau laser de référence par rapport à une partie de l'interface mécanique. L'élément d'alignement sur le corps est agencé de sorte à permettre à l'interface mécanique de venir en prise avec un module onduleur de telle sorte que le capteur de faisceau laser soit maintenu dans une relation fixe par rapport à un centre magnétique du module onduleur.
