La présente invention concerne un système de détection d'objets (200) pour un émetteur de puissance inductive et comportant: une bobine d'excitation (202); une bobine de détection (204); le système étant agencé pour déterminer une mesure d'impédance complexe au niveau de la bobine de détection (204) en réponse à l'application d'un courant d'excitation à la bobine d'excitation (202); le système étant en outre agencé pour détecter la présence d'un objet et un type de l'objet au moyen de la mesure d'impédance complexe.
