More specifically the present invention relates to a process for preparation of hydrochloric acid salt of 5-Arnino-2,4-di-tert- butylphenol. La présente invention concerne, de façon générale, un procédé amélioré de préparation de 5-amino-2,4-di-tert-butylphénol ou d'un dérivé hydroxylé de celui-ci ou d'un sel d'addition acide de celui-ci, constituant un intermédiaire pour l'ivacaftor. La présente invention concerne, plus précisément, un procédé de préparation du sel d'acide chlorhydrique du 5-amino-2,4-di-tert-butylphénol.
