Further, a method of decarboxylating an organic compound is provided, which uses FAHD1 to decarboxylate the organic compound. Additionally, a method and a kit for identifying inhibitors of FAHD1 are provided. La présente invention concerne FAHD1 pour son utilisation dans un procédé pour le traitement ou la prévention d'aberrations du métabolisme énergétique du système nerveux, du pancréas, des reins, du foie, des muscles ou du tissu adipeux. La présente invention concerne également un procédé de décarboxylation d'un composé organique qui utilise FAHD1 pour décarboxyler le composé organique. La présente invention concerne en outre un procédé et un kit d'identification d'inhibiteurs de FAHD1.
