L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de détecter la forme de voiles et analogues. La détection de forme est rendue possible au moyen d'une mesure en trois dimensions d'une pluralité d'emplacements de la surface de la voile, laquelle mesure est effectuée au moyen d'une mesure du temps de vol d'un signal optique.
