The invention relates to a rear body module comprising: - a base panel (1) having at least one holder (3) for a rear seat and having an upwardly extending, rear termination (13), wherein depressions (9) and elevations (11) are formed in the base panel (1) for reinforcing purposes, and - a left-hand and a right-hand support (19, 21), each forming a C pillar of the vehicle body and forking, at the upper end, into at least two struts (25, 27), wherein the struts (25, 27) are each connected to a rear roof strut (23), and the roof struts (23) are connected to one another by a crossmember (29), wherein a respective reinforcing strut (31), which is coupled to the roof strut (23), opens out from the crossmember (29).
