CONFIGURING SIGNAL BOOSTERS

A method of configuring a signal booster may include receiving an indication that a first interface port of a first amplifier is configured such that external signals are not introduced to the first amplifier and measuring thermal noise output by the first amplifier at a second amplifier communicatively coupled to a second interface port of the first amplifier after receiving the indication. The method may further include determining signal loss between the first amplifier and the second amplifier based on the measured thermal noise and setting a gain of the second amplifier based on the signal loss. La présente invention concerne un procédé de configuration d'un amplificateur de signaux pouvant comprendre les étapes consistant à recevoir une indication qu'un premier port d'interface d'un premier amplificateur est configuré de telle sorte que des signaux externes ne soient pas introduits dans le premier amplificateur et à mesurer le bruit thermique délivré par le premier amplificateur au niveau d'un second amplificateur couplé en communication avec un second port d'interface du premier amplificateur après la réception de l'indication. Le procédé peut en outre comprendre l'étape consistant à déterminer une perte de signal entre le premier amplificateur et le second amplificateur en fonction du bruit thermique mesuré et à régler un gain du second amplificateur en fonction de la perte de signal.
