Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a rail fastening device having an outer chest for inducing a shear load, configured such that a transverse load transmitted from a rail is induced to be counterbalanced en route to a large extent, without acting as a bending load regarding a fastening bolt, and to act as a shear load, thereby suppressing damage to the fastening bolt and lengthening the life of the entire product, the rail fastening device comprising: a base plate; an elastic pad; a guide plate; a fastening clamp; a fastening bolt; and an outer chest which is installed tightly on the upper surface of the crosstie so as to make a frictional contact, which has a bottom plate for mounting the elastic pad and the guide plate such that the lower end surface of the guide plate is tightly mounted on the upper surface of the bottom plate, which has support portions on the left and right sides of the bottom plate to tightly support the guide plate, respectively, and which has through-holes successively penetrated by a fastening bolt that penetrates the guide plate, wherein, when a transverse load is applied from a rail to the guide plate, the outer chest supports the guide plate by means of the support portions, counterbalances the transverse load by means of resistance resulting from the frictional contact with the crosstie, and induces the counterbalanced transverse load so as to act on the fastening bolt as a shear load occurring on a parallel surface that contacts the crosstie.
