In this way, there is no drop in the mechanical performance of small axial turbines and compressors with a less favourable ratio of radial play to diameter, an aspect that has prevented more generalized use thereof. The fixed blades, by not transferring energy to the fluid and decelerating the rotation thereof, encounter fewer stalling problems than the movable blades. La présente invention concerne des tubomachines axiales à carter rotatif et élément central fixe, caractérisées par un carter extérieur tournant et la fixation des pales mobiles sur ce carter, ainsi que par la fixation des pales fixes (ou statiques) à un axe ou un autre élément immobile central, indépendamment du fait que la compression et l'expansion se produisent dans un ou plusieurs étages.
