La présente invention décrit un additif polymère à base de biomasse, son procédé de préparation et une composition polymère biodégradable comprenant ledit additif polymère à base de biomasse pour utilisation dans la fabrication d'un plastique biodégradable. Ledit additif est préparé à partir de la biomasse de cellules de microorganismes rompues telles que des micro-algues, une levure ou d'autres microorganismes.
