ANTI-TELESCOPING DEVICE AND HANDLE FOR SPIRAL WOUND MEMBRANE ELEMENT

An anti-telescoping device (ATD) is provided for installing a spiral wound filtration element in a tubular pressure vessel, the ATD being a generally wagon wheel-shaped disc having an outer peripheral rim (14), a central hub (16), a plurality of annularly spaced ribs (18) connecting the peripheral rim with the central hub, and engagement catches (26) located at transitions of the ribs with the peripheral rim for receiving projections from a handle. The handle for holding, installing and/or extracting a spiral wound filtration element with ATD has a plurality of annularly spaced legs extending radially outward and axially from a central holding portion, the legs having engagement feet at distal ends of the legs and being adapted to lock into the engagement catches in the ATD on at least one end of the filtration element. The ATD has other novel features which facilitate the insertion of the filtration element into, the operation in, and the removal from the tubular vessel. La présente invention concerne un dispositif anti-téléscopique (ATD) destiné à installer un élément de filtration spiralé dans un récipient tubulaire sous pression, l'ATD étant un disque en forme de roue de chariot ayant un rebord extérieur périphérique, un moyeu central, une pluralité de nervures espacées annulairement reliant le rebord périphérique au moyeu central, et des encliquetages de mise en prise situés aux transitions des nervures avec le rebord périphérique destiné à recevoir des parties en saillie à partir d'une poignée. La poignée destinée à manipuler, installer et/ou extraire un élément de filtration spiralé avec l'ADT présente une pluralité de pieds espacés annulairement s'étendant radialement vers l'extérieur et axialement à partir d'une partie centrale de retenue, les pieds ayant des jambes de mise en prise aux extrémités distales des jambes et étant adaptées pour se bloquer dans les encliquetages de mise en prise dans l'ADT sur au moins une extrémité de l'élément de filtration. L'ADT présente d'autres caractéristiques nouvelles qui facilitent l'insertion de l'élément de filtration dans le récipient tubulaire, son fonctionnement et le retrait de celui-ci du récipient tubulaire.
