METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TUNING AN ANTENNA BASED ON UNRELIABLE DATA

A method and apparatus for tuning an antenna of a communication device includes receiving, at a processing element within the communication device, data relevant to tuning the antenna and identifying an unreliable portion of the data. The method also includes identifying, based on the unreliable portion of the data, a first set of tuning states for tuning the antenna, wherein the first set of tuning states is a subset of a plurality of possible tuning states for tuning the antenna. The method further includes restricting tuning of the antenna to tuning states within the first set of tuning states. L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de syntonisation d'une antenne d'un dispositif de communication qui consiste à recevoir, au niveau d'un élément de traitement dans le dispositif de communication, des données pertinentes à la syntonisation de l'antenne et identifier une partie non fiable des données. Le procédé consiste aussi à identifier, sur la base de la partie non fiable des données, un premier ensemble d'états de syntonisation pour syntoniser l'antenne, le premier ensemble d'états de syntonisation étant un sous-ensemble d'une pluralité d'états de syntonisation possibles pour syntoniser l'antenne. Le procédé consiste en outre à restreindre la syntonisation de l'antenne à des états de syntonisation compris dans le premier ensemble d'états de syntonisation.
