SYSTEM FOR THE DETECTION AND HANDLING OF HYPOGLYCEMIA

A system is described herein to detect and treat hypoglycemia. An example of this system involves the detection of hypoglycemia in a patient with a computing device, computation of a recommended carbohydrate amount to ingest by the patient with the computing device in response to said detecting the hypoglycemia, output of the recommended carbohydrate amount with the computing device, and the performance of a hypoglycemia surveillance with the computing device to determine whether the recommended carbohydrate amount remedied the hypoglycemia. La présente invention concerne un système de détection et de traitement de l'hypoglycémie. Un exemple de ce système implique la détection de l'hypoglycémie chez un patient avec un dispositif de calcul, le calcul d'une quantité de glucides recommandée à ingérer par le patient par le dispositif de calcul en réponse à ladite détection de l'hypoglycémie, l'affichage de la quantité de glucides recommandée par le dispositif de calcul, et la réalisation d'une surveillance de l'hypoglycémie par le dispositif de calcul pour déterminer si la quantité de glucides recommandée a permis de remédier à l'hypoglycémie.
