The present invention generally relates to a free rise, wettable, high strength, ether foam material that has improved stiffness, particularly for ink holders, in combination with improved strength properties. Cette invention concerne une mousse éther mouillable, à résistance mécanique élevée, convenant tout particulièrement à des supports à encres ; ladite mousse contenant un prépolymère qui est formé avant d'être ajouté aux autres composants de la formulation de mousse. De manière générale, cette invention concerne un matériau de mousse éther à gonflement libre, mouillable, et à résistance mécanique élevée ayant une rigidité améliorée, en particulier pour des supports à encres, combinée à des propriétés de résistance mécanique améliorées.
