La présente invention concerne un procédé en une étape pour la synthèse de THF et de produits hydrogénés cycliques associés à partir de furfural à l'aide d'un catalyseur supporté sur carbone à base de métal de Palladium se caractérisant par une sélectivité élevée et une conversion à 100 % que ce soit en mode discontinu et en mode continu.
