Zusammenfassung:	A railway sleeper comprising a body having a top face on which railway rails are located and a bottom face for placement on a ground surface. The body is formed from a plurality of fibre composite sandwich panels plus a polymer concrete comprising an amount of polymer resin and an amount of filler. Each sandwich panel has a pair of fibre composite skins with a structural core material located therebetween. The fibre composite sandwich panels extend longitudinally within said body. La présente invention concerne une traverse de chemin de fer qui comprend un corps qui comporte une face supérieure sur laquelle des rails de chemin de fer sont situés et une face inférieure pour le positionnement sur une surface du sol. Le corps est formé à partir d'une pluralité de panneaux sandwiches composites en fibres et d'un béton de résine qui comprend une quantité de résine polymère et une quantité de charge. Chaque panneau sandwich comporte une paire de revêtements composites en fibres avec un matériau âme structural situé entre lesdits revêtements. Les panneaux sandwiches composites en fibres s'étendent longitudinalement à l'intérieur dudit corps.
