A system is disclosed for estimating fuel consumption of a boiler in a building, the system comprising at least boiler operating model configured to perform said estimating on the basis of at least one ON time of the boiler. La présente invention concerne généralement un système d'estimation de la consommation de combustible d'une chaudière dans un bâtiment, et un procédé d'estimation de la consommation de combustible, en particulier d'estimation de la consommation de gaz. Ledit système d'estimation de la consommation de combustible d'une chaudière dans un bâtiment comprend au moins un modèle de fonctionnement de chaudière configuré pour effectuer ladite estimation sur la base d'au moins une durée de MARCHE de la chaudière.
