A SHOCK MITIGATION APPARATUS

Described herein is a shock mitigation apparatus. More specifically, a shock mitigation apparatus which relates to a new and improved seating system, such as may be utilised in a marine environment, able to absorb shocks transmitted to the seat system from a structure to which the seat is affixed. The shock mitigation apparatus includes a tuneable spring to alter and/or control flexure within the spring in three planes of movement (longitudinal surge, vertical heave and lateral sway) and axes of rotation (roll, pitch and yaw) depending on occupant and/or particular application. La présente invention concerne un appareil d'atténuation de chocs. La présente invention concerne plus particulièrement un appareil d'atténuation de chocs associé à un système d'assise nouveau et amélioré, tel que pouvant être utilisé dans un environnement marin, pouvant absorber des chocs transmis au système de siège depuis une structure à laquelle le siège est fixé. L'appareil d'atténuation de chocs comprend un ressort réglable servant à modifier et/ou maîtriser la flexion du ressort suivant trois plans de déplacement (poussée longitudinale, soulèvement vertical et balancement latéral) et trois axes de rotation (tangage, roulis et lacet) en fonction de l'occupant et/ou de l'application particulière.
